DESCRIPTION
The Halcyon Halo 2nd Stage Regulator provides smooth and reliable breathing with two methods of flow adjsutment. The first is via a knob on the side of the housing allowing the diver to manually adjust the cracking pressure (inhalation effort) and the second is an Air Control Vane (ACV) to adjust airflow through the regulator with a Pre-Dive (Halcyon marking) and a Dive setting you can switch between to allow better flow for during the dive and less flow to stop potential free-flowing when out of the water, on the surface or being towed by a scooter.
The Halo is a classic downstream valve style regulator the design of which tend to have very impressive safety records and are usually accepted as extremely reliable making the Aura an important part of your kit as either a primary or secondary regulator depending on your style of diving. Part of their reliability is because the downstream valve opens in the same direction as the incoming airflow; a spring counteracts the force of the incoming air. In this design a small inhalation is required to overcome the spring tension and open the valve. This spring pressure is adjusted at the factory and allows easy breathing and consistent performance
All Halcyon regulators come standard with a 40" hose, Nitrox ready for mixes up to 40%, and a comfort mouthpiece designed to reduce jaw fatigue and mouth irritation throughout the dive.
