DESCRIPTION
The Cressi Apnea Wetsuit is a high quality suit valued by freedivers for it's performance and durability.
Made from average density neoprene the Apnea suit is lined with specially flexible nylon which improves comfort and adaptation. The suit has been constructed to a new pattern which allows easier dilation of the rib cage and back which is very important for pre-breathing prior to the dive. The suit also allows for easier movement of the arms. This is achieved by including a single panel of neoprene over the entire side of the torso, armpits and inside the arms. Additional the tightness of the cuffs, ankles and face have also been adjusted to improve comfort and performance.
The inside of the suit is made with open cell neoprene with BlackLite® coating. This coating works as a primer coat which means you have the benefits of an open cell suit without it's limitations. With BlackLite® coating the diver will be able to put on the suit without having to use lubricants however once in place it will keep the qualities of an open cell suit in terms of adhesion, elasticity and thermal insulation.
The sternum support pad has been updated to make it oversized and double padded along with have an anti-slip and tear resistant fabric meaning it will hold up to many rounds of loading a speargun. Semi flexible Tatex kneepads will provide protection over the knees of the suit.
The pants of the suit have been tailored to non-long John overpants meaning they are cut off just below the diaphragm allowing for optimal dilation of the rib cage. The top includes an inbuilt hood for additional warmth.
