Straight D-rings are typically used on the waist strap of a harness. All Halcyon BC systems come standard with a straight D-ring on the left hip to clip an SPG.
Bent D-rings are a great option for shoulders. The bent section of the D-ring eliminates the ability for the D-ring to lay flat on the shoulder harness, making it easier to clip items off.
